VEEM Limited, Australian manufacturer of VEEM Gyro stabilizer, announces that VEEM has appointed Mr. Luca Signorini from TBS Marine SRL as the VEEM Business Development Manager – Southern Europe. Mr. Signorini has previously been a VEEM propellers sales agent for many years. During this time he represented VEEM as well as several other marine brands. This new appointment will see Mr. Signorini focused solely on generating new sales for VEEM propulsion equipment and gyro stabilisers.
Luca is based in Livorno, Italy whch is 30 minutes drive from Viareggio, the single largest superyacht producing port in the world. Luca will operate across Southern Europe and report to the BDM-Europe who is based in the UK.
The BDM-Southern Europe position involves working closely with our existing sales agent network to stimulate new sales opportunities, and advising VEEM on the appointment of additional sales agencies across Southern Europe. VEEM’s propeller product market share in Italy has been building steadily in recent years. The opportunity to further expand this presence is now augmented by the introduction of the VEEM Gyro products into this market.
The VEEM Gyro stabilizers are an amazing device that bolts into the vessel’s hull. There are no protrusions through the hull into the water. The device utilizes the gyro-dynamics of a high-speed steel flywheel spinning in a vacuum controlled chamber. The VEEM Gyro units deliver their massive roll stabilizing torques whilst producing almost no noise or vibration. Early installations have even been successfully located beneath guest cabin beds.
The VEEM Gyro product range is suitable for installation on luxury motor yachts, Defense and paramilitary patrol vessels, naval mine-hunters, fast crew transfer vessel serving the expanding offshore windfarm industry, and commercial offshore supply and workboats. The three products in the range will suit installation in vessels from 60 tonne in weight to 3500 tonne.
