VEEM signs gyrostabiliser sales agency MOU with SAIM Group

By February 23, 2013January 8th, 2021No Comments

VEEM Ltd, Australian marine equipment specialist, has this week executed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the highly respected Italian marine equipment distributor SAIM Group. The objective of the MOU is to build the foundations for a Central European VEEM Gyro sales agency, bringing with it an exciting new delivery platform for the products.

The newly initiated relationship was announced at the 2013 SEATEC trade conference in Carrara, Italy.

Both VEEM and SAIM Group have established well respected reputations for the supply and support of high quality marine equipment, and both look forward to expanding their business through the outcomes from the MOU. Paul Steinmann, Product Manager for VEEM Gyro, commented on the prospects the MOU will deliver: “We are very excited by the opportunity to work with such a well respected group in the marine market.”

VEEM’s newest associate SAIM Group, originally founded as SAIM Spa in 1951, has been important to the marine industry since 1993, with the creation of SAIM Marine, equipping applications ranging from recreational tourism to commercial vessels and is the supplier of choice for most prestigious Italian shipyards. SAIM Marine distributes high quality equipment to over 3,000 customers along the southern coast of Europe. Operations areas include Buccinasco , Fiumicino, Viareggio and Bologna in Italy, Punat in Croatia and Mandelieu in France, run by its sister company SAIM France Sarl.

The SAIM – VEEM collaboration will bring new and exciting prospects for the newly renamed VEEM Gyro product range, known up until recently as VEEM’s Halcyon Gyrostabilisers. VEEM Gyros, as described by Product Manager Paul Steinmann “are powerful, highest quality, roll stabilisation devices specifically engineered for use on large boats and small ships.” The launch of the VEEM Gyro product range extends VEEM’s marine equipment offering beyond its highly respected propeller and shaftline products.

Sales territories are yet to be confirmed, however the outcome of the MOU will enable VEEM Gyro to build its presence in the central European market, increasing its international presence in the global marine industry. Potential sales territories that are the current topics of discussion include Italy, Croatia and the Mediterranean coast of France, where SIAM Marine are already located.
