Marine giants, VEEM limited, have announced the 2014 VEEM Gyro Stabilizer range ahead of this years yacht show season.

The range, which boasts previously unimaginable levels of stabilizing torque, will include the VEEM Gyro 120, VEEM Gyro 260 and the VEEM Gyro 1000, each named after the reflected level of stabilizing torque developed (in kNm).

“The VEEM Gyro models are the first truly powerful gyro stabilizers that can provide strong stabilization both at rest and underway for large vehicles. Our products will continue to operate in rough conditions unlike other products in the market” VEEM Gyro Product Manager, Paul Steinmann quotes.

The much anticipated first batch of VEEM Gyro 120 units is expected to undergo further in-factory and on-vessel sea trial testing off the coast of Western Australia this week, with units available for shipping in October.

The VEEM Gyro 260 and the VEEM Gyro 1000 are not far behind, with the VG260 due to start production this month and the VG1000 later next year. These larger models will offer the large superyacht and mega yacht community exciting new levels of enhanced vessel comfort. Interested parties are invited to discuss production slots with VEEM to ensure alignment with upcoming vessel build schedules.

VEEM’s decision to re-name their stabilization units upon their release has drawn attention to the different products currently offered in the market. Units of angular momentum previously identified the VEEM Gyro models, but it is the rated stabilizing torque delivered by the units that boat owners and operators really want to know about. VEEM believes that the new labels provide further clarity for customers, as stabilizing torque directly provides vessel roll reduction performance.

“The VEEM Gyros represented a new industry benchmark in engineering excellence, finish quality, and structural robustness. I am convinced that once you have the opportunity to personally compare our products to others in the market, I will not need to further explain their advantages,” Steinmann quotes. “After 10 years of extensive research and development, the VEEM Gyro team are extremely proud of the significant step up not only in stabilizing torque, but also in quality and engineering. We are now able to offer the industry these never before experienced products with an industry leading, 5 year extended warranty on all Gyro’s purchased.”
